Christmas mission 2021 - Massive support to 150 Liverpool children

It never ceases to amaze us the sheer kindness of hundreds of local individuals and businesses across Liverpool, who come forward at Christmas time, to offer support for families and kids who suffer financial hardship and really tough circumstances.  

2021 we picked 150 children across various parts of Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley. Many of the kids have been part of our AHFO community and really do give everything getting involved in groups and activities through out they year. Schools and organisations we work closely with also nominated children they identified as really needing support on Christmas day.  We decided on a budget for each child of £150 for specific presents they really wished for and clothing. 

So many came kind people came forward to sponsor children or buy specific presents. The kind actions of these people meant scores of kids woke up with smiles on their faces on Christmas day and many families pressures were eased at a tough time for everybody.  

Over £30,000 worth of presents were bought specifically for each child and many of the businesses and individuals wrapped them which also helped us as AHFO office can be like a grotto over Christmas!!
