An Hour for Others (AHFO) is so much more than a charity, it is the future of how communities should operate and thrive together.  Since starting out in 2013/14, AHFO has positively impacted the lives of thousands of people in the City of Liverpool and beyond, changing the areas it works in for the better.  

Since day one businesses both local, and national have teamed up to help us achieve our aims of bringing communities together to inspire a positive change. AHFO has bridged the gap between business and community and the smallest amounts of business engagement has added huge amounts of social value to the City and helped those businesses stand out from the crowd as honest, community minded, empathic companies who care about the areas they operate in.

We are reaching out and asking for more businesses to either become monthly sponsors of our community activities or partner with us by offering staff time, skills, materials or resources relevant to our work.

In the last 18 months we had an independent social value calculation carried out which found for every £1 of money, time, material or resource an incredible £11.63 worth of social value is returned into the community in the form of positive change in lives and communities.  This is proof that the smallest amounts of support go such a long way in creating a better world around us.  

For example - a £200 per month business sponsorship into AHFO community operations returns £2326 or £27,912 each year from a £2400 investment!  This money is a positive change in the areas you live and trade in which creates a better future for our children!  This is priceless. 

Another example is a business such as a Reiki healer who would normally charge £25 per hour for their service, if they offer AHFO 3 hours per month of their time and skills the social value return that month would be £872.25.    (£75 x £11.63 = £872.25)

The future for communities is unity between all the sectors within it, businesses can have a huge say in creating positive change in our world and AHFO is the platform that connects the dots.
