All our kids groups doing 1000 mile cycle challenge!!
On Tuesday April 2nd 2024 An Hour For Others will have two static bikes in our community hub in Tuebrook, Liverpool. The bikes will be there for one week, in that time between all of our children and one or two adults we will be working together to smash 1000 miles. We estimate around 50 children who attend our groups and activities will have to aim to do 20 miles each over the course of the week. Everton sports centre have kindly agreed to loan us the bikes for a week and need them back by Monday 8th April, this means we have just under a week to complete the challenge.
This is one of a number of fundraising challenges we have planned in the build up to summer. The money raised is to support the many summer activities we will be doing and also our overnight residential trip to Wales.
The link to our go fund me page is HERE, if you would like to donate towards our summer programme, we really appreciate it!
Each summer our groups grow in numbers, this summer we expect to have around 50 - 60 children joining us across our groups, we always put on the best activities where children can thrive in a safe environment and have tonnes of fun and laughs.
This year we feel it is really important for the children to play a part in fundraising towards their summer, it gives the kids insight into the real world where if you want something in life you really have to put the effort in to make your dreams reality.
We ask all parents or guardians of the children we support to get in touch with the AHFO team to arrange times and days to come in the hub between 2nd April - 8th April and complete their miles on the bike!
Let's smash it together guys!!
TOGETHER WE ARE STRONG
